New work directed by Reginald Pike illustrates the Clever Dumb Balance: "The Planet is in a delicate balance, for every clever thing that happens, something really dumb happens elsewhere." So, according to this clever ad for the Mint Credit Card, a really dumb ad was created at the exact same time. But unfortunately in advertising the Clever Dumb Balance is never restored - there is just too much dumb advertising for the good advertising to catch up. I like the thought, and as always Reginald nailed the execution.
