As part a campaign for a Young Creatives Competition in Switzerland, these brilliant advertising figures were elevated to saint status. If advertising saints are anything like Catholic Saints, then these men must have performed three advertising miracles. Anyone care to try to name them? I don't know all the details on these magnificent works of advertising inspired art, but this has to make Bogusky, Vervroegen and Marcello smile.

Miracles of Saint Bogusky include re-introducing the US to the VW Rabbit, much more the entire VW Safe Happens campaign (Some elements of campaign were very similar style to Mini campaign with the collateral pieces/print inserts). Then, of course, the Mini campaign having Ford Excursions drive around w/ Minis atop of them and the collateral pieces -"open motoring" guide.
Thirdly, Burger King, this creepily attractive mascot and subservient chicken have been a viral success. I love the video game angle as well.
Finally, Bogusky and Co live/work on their terms. They fire their clients if treated like a vendor and operate w/ total creative freedom because of the trust established w/ their clients. What other agency can do that. As a recent college grad, the agency I work does not offer this freedom, mainly and probably obviously due to our clients. MY creative freedom comes from my freelance hussle, but I will definately be sending my resume/CV over to CP+B asap. -mixon
Erik Vervroegens work at TBWA/Paris is absolutely mindblowing. After his first 4 months he went to Cannes with his creative dept. and collected 4 gold lions, the next year it was 8, and since then, they have just continued! There are SO good stories in their work and their visuals are stunning! (E.g. all the best stuff for PS2, to name a few).
